OBJECTIVES AND PURPOSE<\/strong><\/p>\n

The\u00a0closed triads is often used as a tool<\/strong>\u00a0when we perform a musical arrangement, however, many instrumentalists and composers\u00a0use the triads openly<\/strong>, thus achieving a greater expressive weight.<\/p>\n

The open triads are\u00a0obtained by ascending or descending an octave the internal voice<\/strong>\u00a0of a triad in\u00a0closed position,<\/strong>\u00a0either in\u00a0root position or inverted<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Practicing the different\u00a0exercises, progressions and assignments<\/strong>, we will achieve a conscious and dynamic handling of the different fingerings and sonorities produced.<\/p>\n

CONTENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n

We will use four types of open triads:\u00a0Major \u2013 Minor \u2013 Diminished and Augmented,<\/strong>\u00a0both in\u00a0fundamental position and in first and second inversion<\/strong>\u00a0in string sets:\u00a06 5 3 \u2013 6 4 3 \u2013 5 4 2 \u2013 4 3 1<\/strong><\/p>\n

The different strings sets are organized starting from the study of the fingerings of each type of triad, previously mentioned,\u00a0in position and across the guitar neck.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We will practice with\u00a044 progressions in the major mode and 40 in the minor mode<\/strong>\u00a0using concepts of\u00a0functional harmony: diatonic chords, secondary dominants, substitutes and modal interchange chords.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It also includes the\u00a0harmonization of the Major Scale, the Composite Minor Scale, the Circle of fifths and the third diatonic.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 12 assignments<\/strong>\u00a0include the jazz standard in 4\/4 \u2013 3\/4 and ballads.<\/p>\n

We will practice the open triads as a chord as well as\u00a0six different rhythm patterns for the right hand.<\/strong><\/p>\n
