Practical and dynamic work methodology for the self-taught student as well as for the teacher in class

OBJECTIVES AND PURPOSES

The objective is to give the student in a dynamic way the technical elements to analyze and reharmonize popular music genres such as Jazz, Rock and Pop
.
With all our knowledge from Functional Harmony Volume I, we’ll keep on studying other subjects, in which we will highlight Modal Exchange.

Likewise, we’ll study: uses and functions of the IV#ø, II-V chains, Extended Dominant Chords, Dominant Chord series, etc.

The knowledge of these commonly used concepts in popular music will allow us to know which function they fulfill when they appear in a song or piece, and use them as a reharmonization tool.
